What ever happened to doing you? Why can't people stay in their own lane these days? The latest occurence of lane changing is Jay-Z's new song off of his upcoming album D.O.A.(Death Of Autotune).
He never names anyone in particular that he's aiming his verbal assault at but still....I like Jay-Z's music and all but my problem is why is he attacking people that like to use Autotune in their music. If he doesn't like it that's fine....turn the damn station.
Now I know that there are waaaaaaaay too many artist using autotune today and everybody can't be T Pain. But they have the right to make what ever type of music they please.
Yes, I know he's Jay-Z but who the hell is he to tell me what I should listen to and if I were a music artist who the hell is he to tell me what I can and can't do on MY song. Is this a plot by Jay-Z to hype up his fans for his new album or what?
While I'm talking about Jay-Z, I can't believe he has enough pull to get Chris Brown thrown off of the BET awards line-up. He said that he nor Beyonce would perform if Chris Brown was put on the show. I'm sorry but neither one of their performances were outstanding and I don't think people would have not watched the show if they said Jay-Z and Beyonce weren't gonna perform.
If he's bored, rather than picking fights with autotune, why don't he pick a fight with a valid hip hop artist. Probably because the last time he did he was blown out of the water by Nas. Jay-Z you have freedom of speech to blast whomever and whatever you please but since you wanna call yourself the best rapper alive, try picking on RAPPERS!!! Other than that, Stay In Your Lane!!!

I totally agree. I don't know what's going on with Jay, and maybe your right Keland, maybe he's trying to bring awarness to his new album,but if the ablum is good then you shouldn't have to tear down other peoples career just to shine light on your own. I was very disappointed with what went down with Chris Brown's performance at the BET awards/Michael Jackson tribute especially after I found out that Jay Z had a lot to do with it, but IF BET tweeked the program so that artist could show there appreciation to Micheal Jackson, then what the HELL did Beyonce and Jay Z's performace have to do with it(I'm just sayin) I believe Chris Brown would have been the perfect person along with Ne-Yo to display that
ReplyDeleteAs an artist, Jay has a right to express himself however he feels. If he doesn't like Autotune, not only can he turn the radio off - but he can write a song about it! Or start a movement! Or put it on a t-shirt! Or whatever! Lol. I feel like, who cares if Jay is speaking out against it....everybody has their own pet peeves and annoyances; he just happens to be in a position where he can express them on a larger than life level. And I ain't mad at him! But if I was....I'd take your advice and turn my radio off ;)
ReplyDeleteWho he should picking a fight with is his barber, who must've been on strike before the making of the video! It's so obvious that Jay is bored with being rich. I know B is pissed! Leave the 'will work for a haircut' look to the people who actually CAN'T afford one. He really took it back to Marcy projects in this video!
